Yes, qualifying members who have a Company Shop membership can nominate up to 2 other people for membership.

Nominated members don’t have to meet the membership criteria.

Community Shop membership is free and open to those who live locally to a Community Shop and are in receipt of a means tested benefit (e.g. JSA, ESA, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support). 

You can apply for Community Shop membership here.

Your card can be collected from from your nearest Company Shop store, at the member services desk.

Please remember to take a form of Photo ID and your latest payslip/proof of means tested benefit with you on your first visit.

Our colleagues will verify the details on our system with your ID, take your photo and issue you with your Company Shop membership card.

No, there is no deadline to collecting your membership card.

We will send you email reminders periodically reminding you that your membership card is ready for you to collect.

Please make sure you bring with you all of the following which can be in paper or electronic formats.

• Most recent digital or printed payslip (must be from the last 30 days), Proof of Means Tested Benefits or proof of qualifying pension/eligibility
• Proof of name and address (e.g. Utility, Bank statement)
• Photo ID (If no Photo ID then a signed bank card and statement)

We will have received your application but if you do not hear from us within 24 hours, please let us know.

Please remember to enter the name of your employer in the Company Name field. If you qualify through receipt of a means tested benefit, then please type ‘MTB’.

Once your membership has been processed, you will receive an SMS and/or email confirming your card is ready for collection. If you don’t receive this within 24 hours, then please contact our friendly membership team by emailing membership@companyshop.co.uk

If your membership card has been lost or stolen, please visit the member services desk at your nearest store for a replacement.

Please bring photo ID with you.

There will be a £1 fee charged, which is then donated to charity.
